In addition to the drag and drop methods for uploading images mentioned in the above section, the Elina theme includes another new and fast way to add images to galleries. This is primarily useful when the media you wish to add to a gallery already exists in your WordPress database, meaning you have uploaded it in the past sometime.
Using this quick browse mode you can view and filter all existing content in the media library in a convenient thumbnails grid and select your desired media directly from that grid, adding it to your gallery in a couple of simple clicks.
To Add Media via "Quick Browse" Mode, Do the Following:
- In the "Add New" or "Edit Gallery" screen, located just above the gallery contents area, you will see a button with the label Add Click this button to open the default WordPress media loader.
- You will now see a grid of thumbnail images showing all of the media which has been uploaded to your website. You can use the filter dropdown to filter the displayed media based on Media Tags (See next section for an explanation of media tags).
- Once you have filtered the results and you have found the media you wish to insert into your gallery, simply click on a thumbnail to select it. Multiple thumbnails may be selected by simply clicking on them. Clicking on a selected thumbnail will deselect it again.
- Once you have selected your images, click Add to add these images to your gallery. The dialog will then close and you will see your image in the list of gallery contents.
