Seeing as galleries are often used to populate other views such as a lightbox, slider or carousel, the images in a gallery can have other content associated with them, which then can be seen in the view to which it provides content. For example, for a carousel which displays video content, a video must be associated with each image in the gallery. Another example is when images are shown in in a slider or lightbox, they can have associated caption title and descriptions. This text is then displayed once that image is shown in the slider or lightbox.

Open the "Edit Gallery" page of the gallery which you would like to edit. Next find the specific image you wish to associate additional content with. The image thumbnail will have 2 icons in the top left corner. Click the "Edit Icon" (pencil and paper). This will open the "Gallery Image Settings" dialog box. In this dialog all of the following are performed.

Adding Links To Gallery Images To associate a link with this image enter the link into the field entitled "Link". Now click "Accept changes and close the dialog" button to save and return to the gallery edit page. This image will now hold this link and provided the view displaying this image supports image links, clicking this image will send the user to the entered link.

Adding Videos To Gallery Images To associate a video with this image enter the video url (Vimeo/Youtube) the field entitled "Use Video". Now click "Accept changes and close the dialog" button to save and return to the gallery edit page. This image will now display this video and provided the view displaying this image supports video playback, clicking this image will playback the linked video.

Adding Text Content To Gallery Images To associate a title and/or description with this image enter the title into the "Title" field and description into the "Description" field. Now click "Accept changes and close the dialog" button to save and return to the gallery edit page. This image will now display this a caption containing a title and description provided the view displaying this image supports captions. All Slider views apart from the splash page slider support captions. The Lightbox view also supports captions.
