Creating Slides

The Elina theme features a Slide custom post type. This can be found in the main WP admin menu Slides. All slides requiring animated caption content which will be inserted into this theme will need to be created first using this custom post type. Once it has been created here it will be available to be inserted into the theme slideshow via the Views custom post type. The following options are available in this custom post type:

Layout

Boxed - use this setting when the slide will be inserted into a boxed slider. Full Width - Use this setting when the slide will be inserted into a full width slider.
The setting chosen here does not decide whether the slide is boxed or full width, but only uses this setting to know how to size the image which is about to be inserted into this slide.

To insert an image into this slide the featured image control is used. Once the image has been inserted it will appear in the main content box of the Layer Builder. The slide is now ready to have captions applied and we will explain how this work in the following section.
